Winter Exhibitions at Irvine Fine Arts Center Begin January 29

The Irvine Fine Arts Center is pleased to announce its first exhibitions of the new year: Mirror and Terrain. The exhibitions run concurrently Saturday, January 29–Saturday, April 16. A free opening reception with the artists is Saturday, January 29, 2–4 p.m., and is open to the public.

Senate Bill 1383 Organic Waste Collection Services Update

California Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383) was enacted to reduce the environmental impacts caused by the release of methane emissions from organic materials decomposing in landfills, as well as to increase statewide edible food recovery efforts beginning January 1, 2022. California landfills remain the third-largest source of methane emissions in the state, contributing to twenty percent of the state’s total methane emissions. Organic waste makes up half of Californians' total waste in landfills.

Report Odor Complaints on City Website and Access Irvine App

In an effort to ease odor reports throughout the City, an Odor Complaint Form has been added to the City website and the City app, Access Irvine. ​

To report an odor, open Access Irvine and click on How Can We Help or visit cityofirvine.org/HowCanWeHelp.

There you can report the day, location, odor description and source if identifiable, weather conditions, whether you have experienced any symptoms, and any other details. Please note that if you suspect a gas leak, you should call SoCal Gas at 1-800-427-2200.
