Irvine Police Investigating Fatal Traffic Collision

A 69-year-old male bicyclist has died after colliding with a vehicle.
 
This morning at approximately 7:24 a.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a reported traffic collision involving a bicyclist and a white Ford F-550. The collision occurred on Alton Parkway, between Mauchly and Technology East.
 
OCFA pronounced the bicyclist deceased shortly after arrival. The decedent’s identity is not being released at this time.

As part of the City of Irvine's ongoing promotion of its environmental programs and sustainability goals, Environmental Programs will be hosting an Induction Cooking Workshop & Demonstration Thursday, September 1, at 6 p.m. at Irvine Fine Arts Center. The event will span one hour and will feature local award-winning chef Katie Chin, who will demonstrate how to make various ethnically diverse dishes on an all-electric induction cooktop, as well as discuss the benefits of switching from a gas range to all-electric. The event will be co-hosted by Irvine Mayor Farrah N.

General Plan Update Information Session to Take Place September 22

The City of Irvine will hold an information session for residents to learn more about the General Plan Update process. The information session will take place Thursday, September 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Irvine City Hall Council Chamber.

IRVINE, Calif. (August 16, 2022) – Irvine Police are investigating a traffic collision that resulted in the death of a 23-month-old girl.

Just after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, Irvine Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority personnel were called to a traffic collision within an apartment community near the 300 block of Estancia.

Irvine Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Critical Missing Person

Irvine, Calif. (August 11, 2022) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is seeking the public’s help in locating 76-year-old Eugene Davila.

Davila was discovered missing from his residence at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. His wife reported Davila and his vehicle were missing from the home they share in Irvine. She indicated he may be in the early stages of dementia.
