In an effort to address the growing blood supply crisis in Orange County, the City of Irvine and UCI Health are partnering together to host a blood drive event Tuesday, September 19, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., at Lakeview Senior Center in Irvine. Donations received will help provide critical care for patients at UCI Medical Center.
The City of Irvine’s Administrative Services Department received the prestigious 2023 Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® (AEP) award from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI). The AEP Award is earned by agencies that demonstrate a commitment to procurement excellence. This fundraiser, held at Irvine Improv, features fun and funny performances from comedian Erik Schwartz and two more professional acts. The City of Irvine will host the second annual Fiesta Latina en Irvine at the Great Park on Sunday, September 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event honors the generations of Latin American individuals and heroes who have positively influenced and enriched our nation, society, and community. Fiesta Latina en Irvine observes Hispanic Heritage Month, inviting the community to learn about the histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic Americans through music, food, language, and art. This free event is open to all ages.
