GAME! Dunk Show, Demos & Basketball Giveaway

Get ready for a high-energy celebration Sunday, July 26, 1–3 p.m., on the newly renovated mural-covered courts at the Great Park! Designed by California artist Katy Ann Gilmore in collaboration with Project Backboard, these vibrant court surfaces set the stage for a fun-filled day inspired by the Great Park Gallery exhibition, GAME! Basketball and Contemporary Art. 

Kids, teens, and adults are invited to try out basketball demo challenge stations led by experienced coaches. Challenge participants get to take home a free custom basketball featuring the artist’s designs, while supplies last. 

Backdropped by a DJ and a dynamic professional dunk show, this unique opportunity to experience the connection between basketball, community, and contemporary art is free for all ages. No advance registration is needed. 300 free custom basketballs will be available while supplies last with a one ball maximum for each participant.
