The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will be participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Community members can drop off unwanted medications at the designated locations in the City of Irvine. This free service, which allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications, addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. The participating sites are:

The 2045 General Plan Update will include goals and policies to help the City reach its long-term vision of preserving and enhancing Irvine’s high quality of life as the City matures.
The General Plan Update’s success relies on input from community members, landowners, and other stakeholders to shape future planning vision and goals.

City of Irvine to Host Community Town Halls for the New Great Park Library
The City of Irvine is in the planning phase of a new library at the Great Park as part of the Great Park Framework Plan (Open in new window). Planned for a site adjacent to the Botanical Gardens and the Veterans Memorial Park and Gardens, this will be the most versatile library in our City.
