IRVINE, Calif. (June 3, 2023) – A woman has died after the vehicle she was riding in was broadsided.
This evening, at 5:51 p.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to reports of two vehicles involved in a traffic collision on Irvine Boulevard, east of Sand Canyon Avenue.

On Tuesday, May 23, at 10 a.m., the City of Irvine embarked on an exciting new chapter at the Great Park with a groundbreaking ceremony to commence construction on the next phase of development — the Great Park Framework Plan. The ceremony signified the commencement of a highly anticipated project and included the demolition of a former MCAS El Toro building and the launch of the new Great Park brand and website.
In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event at Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.
The City of Irvine is pleased to present the upcoming exhibitions, New Normal: Skateboarding Now at the Great Park Gallery, and Deck Design: A Survey of Skateboard Evolution at the Great Park Artist Studios –– opening Sunday, June 4, and concluding Sunday, August 27. The 2045 General Plan Update will include goals and policies to help the City reach its long-term vision of preserving and enhancing Irvine’s high quality of life as the City matures.
