One Irvine Neighborhood Revitalization Program Opens June 17

The City of Irvine is opening applications for the next round of the One Irvine neighborhood revitalization program. One Irvine is a program designed to enhance aesthetic conditions as neighborhoods age and transition to new generations of homeowners, and facilitate specific improvement projects in collaboration with residents.

City of Irvine Breaks Ground on its First Municipal Gym

The City of Irvine broke ground today on a 110,000-square-foot recreational facility in the Irvine Business Complex that will serve as a premier space for a variety of sports and help meet growing demand for indoor court space.

The Irvine Fieldhouse will stand out as one of the region’s premier indoor sports venues, with 10 multi-purpose courts, 10 badminton courts, a multipurpose room, a food court, and 369 parking spaces.

City of Irvine to Host June 14 Town Hall on Proposed Oak Park Planning Area

The City of Irvine will hold a Town Hall meeting Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Irvine City Hall to gather community input on a proposed General Plan amendment that would allow for the potential development of a new residential village at Oak Creek Golf Course.

Oak Park Planning Area Town Hall

Irvine Company has filed a General Plan amendment application to establish a new planning area called Oak Park (Planning Area 52). The proposed General Plan amendment would facilitate a new planning area, creating a new village with 3,100 homes, an elementary school, a community park, neighborhood parks, and associated transportation and infrastructure improvements. The project is now in its early public participation phase with public hearings anticipated to occur in 12 to 16 months.
