The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will be participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members can drop off unwanted medications at three designated locations in the City of Irvine. This free service, which allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications, addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. The participating sites are:

City of Irvine Announces Grand Opening of Free COVID-19 Testing Sites
The City of Irvine in partnership with operator 360 Clinic announces the grand opening of five free COVID-19 testing sites at City facilities. A soft launch of the program began Monday, April 5, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Irvine City Council and 360 Clinic members commemorated the grand opening at Irvine Civic Center Tuesday, April 13.
Community members looking to get testing for COVID-19 are now welcome to take advantage of this free service. Days and hours vary per site:

Ramadan Drive-Thru Food Collection Event

The City of Irvine will host a Drive-Thru Food Collection event on April 18, 10 a.m.-noon, at Irvine Civic Center. Community members are invited to donate non-perishable food items during this event, which is being hosted in observance of Ramadan. All donations support Families Forward, a nonprofit helping families in need in Orange County.
This is a drop-and-go event; all food items need to be in the trunk of your car and visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles the entire time. Donations most needed include:
