The City of Irvine invites the community to enjoy an evening of swimming and family fun at the annual Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim Saturday, August 23, at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
This year’s event features a screening of Shrek (PG), shown on a large outdoor screen in the shallow-depth pool. Families are invited to swim, float, and enjoy the movie as it plays under the night sky. The pool opens at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7:15 p.m.
The City of Irvine is committed to ensuring that its facilities are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities, in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
As part of this commitment, the City is conducting a self-evaluation of public facilities throughout the City.
Irvine residents can receive up to three pre-packaged bags (20 pounds per bag) of free compost. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is supported by Tierra Verde Industries and Orange County Waste and Recycling.
