You're invited to the sixth annual Mid-Autumn Festival –– an evening of vibrant performances, cultural displays, hands-on crafts, delicious food, and more. Experience the traditions and stories that bring us together at this free, family-friendly event.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, is also known as Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival. Held under the full moon, it is an annual festival traditionally celebrated by many East and Southeast Asian cultures as a way to give thanks for the year’s bountiful harvest.

Join the Irvine Police Department for community engagement and fun at an Open House Saturday, September 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center.

Meet Irvine Police Officers and professional staff and experience exciting K-9 and motorcycle demonstrations, and get an up-close look at police vehicles. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and activities for everyone to enjoy. Come for the fun and leave with a better understanding of the department. Special giveaways are available while supplies last.

Wellness Script (Rx) Forum for Healthy Aging

Learn strategies for living well and maintaining independence as we age. Discussion will include nutrition and physical activity for older adults, brain health and memory care, fall prevention, and the management of chronic conditions. Participants will also explore the importance of social connection, emotional well-being, and available community resources to support healthy, active aging.

Join us for Fiesta Latina en Irvine at the Great Park! Enjoy lively lotería games, colorful calavera makeup demonstrations, music, art, and delicious food –– celebrating the traditions and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. This free, family-friendly event includes education, entertainment, crafts, vendors, food trucks, and more. National Night Out

Join the Irvine Police Department for National Night Out, an event that brings neighbors and public safety together for a safer and stronger community.

Meet Irvine Police officers and Orange County firefighters, see the police and fire vehicles and equipment, and take part in activities. There will also be food trucks, community booths, and giveaways. 

The Great Park is located at 8000 Great Park Blvd. Free parking is available in Lot 2. 

2026 Super Swim Lesson

Kick off summer in the pool with the Irvine Super Swim lesson. Adults and children of all swimming abilities are invited to participate in Irvine's largest group swim lesson in an effort to raise awareness for drowning prevention.

Arrive at 5:30 p.m. for check-in, with lessons starting at 6 p.m., then stay for a recreation swim that includes a water slide, giant inflatable, diving boards, and activities. At dusk, enjoy Shark Tale on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty.

Ages 3 and older; children aged 6 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
