In an effort to address the growing blood supply crisis in Orange County, the City of Irvine and UCI Health are partnering together to host a blood drive event Wednesday, September 11, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., at the Irvine Civic Center. Donations received will help provide critical care for patients at UCI Medical Center.

In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event.
Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.

In support of the exhibition Thank You, Good Night: Concert Photography, the Great Park Gallery presents a unique live music and art making activity. Song Requests and Concert Posters will give participants the opportunity to request songs they love from the '60s to today to be performed live while creating fictional concert posters that represent their favorite artists. 

Live music provided by Spencer Askin, master guitarist and face of social media personality Shreducation. No advance registration is needed for this fun free all-ages event.

In support of the Great Park Gallery exhibition Thank You, Good Night: Concert Photography the Great Park Gallery presents a live music event, Jazz in the Palm Court: For the Love of Vinyl. Inspired by a diverse range of music that traverses the eras, this event will feature live jazz renditions of hit songs we all know and love. 

The City of Irvine has partnered with Love Irvine as part of the nationwide Love Our Cities effort aimed to connect people who want to help those in need by working with various nonprofit service providers, faith-based organizations, government entities, and schools.

The City of Irvine is pleased to announce the opening of Luke Matjas: Tales from the Trails, presented as part of the Art at City Hall series. The exhibition opens Monday, August 12, and will conclude Friday, November 22. A free opening reception will be held Thursday, August 15, 2–4 p.m., at Irvine City Hall.
