Meet Alkaid Ramirez, an emerging OC-based photographer whose newest mixed-media work in Terrain pays homage to and spotlights his local community. His photographs of swap-meet locals, coupled with material references to domestic spaces, yield work that is simultaneously playful and sentimental.

Alkaid’s work has been exhibited at Redwood Art Association, Eureka, California; Carnegie Plaza at MUZEO, Anaheim, California; and the Latinx Project.
