Mayor Khan Announces COVID-19 and Business Reopening Task Forces

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Mayor Farrah N. Khan announces the COVID-19 and Business Reopening Task Forces to guide the City of Irvine in 2021 and beyond.

The City, in partnership with key business leaders, will coordinate establishment of the Business Reopening Task Force to assist the Mayor in her efforts to help promote small business growth, support local entrepreneurship, target industry relocation within City boundaries, and assist the City in remaining responsive to the business community.

South Coast AQMD Hearing Meeting: Bowerman Landfill

The Hearing Board of the South Coast Air Quality Management District will be holding proceedings to consider the granting of a regular variance from South Coast AQMD Rules and Regulations and the adoption of a final compliance date for OC Waste & Recycling Bowerman Landfill. Bowerman Landfill anticipates excess emissions as a result of this variance. The extent of the emissions and other potential pollutants will be determined by the Hearing Board.

New Ways to Ring in the ‘Holidayz’ in Irvine

Holidayz at the Park returns to the Orange County Great Park on Saturday, bringing festive decorations and lights to the Palm Court as well as safely planned events. The City of Irvine is presenting a modified event this year, with new activities and photo opportunities, all outdoors.
