The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Division has identified three occupants of a vehicle involved in a fatal traffic collision on Friday, November 22, on Harvard Avenue near University Drive.
Jaehyeong Park, 21, of Irvine, was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. Kiwook Seok, 20, of Irvine, was a passenger in the vehicle. Yoseop Jeon, 18, of Torrance, was also a passenger in the vehicle.
The surviving fourth occupant of the vehicle remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
In partnership with Waste Management, the City of Irvine is hosting a free paper shredding event on Saturday, January 25 from 9-11 a.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents and employees can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes (dimensions 24 inches x 12 inches) at a mobile shredding unit on-site. All documents and boxes should be free of binders, paper clips, plastic sleeves and metal butterfly-clips. Please note the event will end when truck capacity has reached its limit. Three people were killed and a fourth was taken to a local hospital Friday morning after a traffic collision on Harvard Avenue near University Drive in Irvine. The Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at that location at 1:46 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered three people deceased inside the vehicle. A fourth person inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital.
