The community is invited to attend the City of Irvine's 45th Anniversary Photo Exhibition and Film Night on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. The event will feature award-winning images from the community-wide photo contest along with an exclusive screening of short films created by Irvine high school students. Winning photos from the City's Employee Photo Contest and the Irvine Animal Care Center's community calendar contest will also be displayed. This event is free and open to the public.

Vehicle Burglar Arrested

Irvine, CA – Today at approximately 5:22 p.m. Irvine Police Officers arrested 33 year-old Los Angeles resident Aaron Patterson for vehicle burglary.

Halloween is in the Air at the Great Park

In Irvine, you know Halloween is near when the Balloon at the Orange County Great Park displays the iconic jack-o-lantern face, affectionately known as “Jack.”  Jack’s arrival also signals the annual Fall Food Drive at the Park, offering visitors a way to support local food banks. 

Jack made his appearance on the Balloon on Sept. 27; he will stick around through Nov. 1. The Great Park Balloon flies Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m., weather permitting.
