Study Rooms
Irvine Public Library offers three study rooms available for reservation: two rooms at Heritage Park Library and one room at Katie Wheeler Library. Reservations are free of charge and can be made online (Open in new window). Please read all use guidelines before making a reservation.
Make A Reservation (Open in new window)
- A valid Irvine Public Library card, in good standing.
- Age limit: Users must be ages 12 or older. Individuals ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by someone ages 12 or older.
- Study rooms are available by reservation only for up to two hours per day.
- Study rooms may be reserved up to seven days in advance.
- Two, one-hour reservations OR one, two-hour reservation is allowed per day.
- Individuals present in any study room will be considered to have used their allotment for the day.
- In order to confirm your study room reservation and avoid cancellation, please check in before entering the room. Check in by scanning the QR code posted next to the study room or by connecting with library staff for assistance.
- Occupancy is limited to a maximum number of people permitted per room as posted.
- Please keep audio at a reasonable volume. Study rooms are not soundproof.
- Reservations will be held for 15 minutes past the reserved start time.
- Arrivals more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time will result in the reservation being automatically canceled and the room made available to other individuals.
- Rooms left unattended for 15 minutes or more are considered vacant and may be made available to other individuals.
- The Library is not responsible for items left unattended.
- Not permitted: Attaching items to walls or windows or using materials that may stain or damage surfaces.
- Do not remove and/or add additional seating.
- Rooms must be left in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
- The library cardholder is responsible for any damage to the study room, including vandalism.
Other Services
The Irvine Public Library (IPL) has public computers available for use. IPL cardholders may access the library’s computers for two hours per day. These computers offer filtered Internet access and standard Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Free public WiFi is available throughout all Irvine Public Library locations.
Printing and Photocopy services are available with 8.5 x 11” paper. Copies cost $0.15 per black and white page and $0.50 per color page.
You can print directly from one of the library’s public computers, or you can use our mobile printing solution, Princh, to securely print your documents from a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop.
Mobile printing works both remotely and at any Irvine Public Library location. You will need the printer ID at your selected IPL location to complete your print job. -

Printing from your mobile phone or a tablet
- When printing at the library: locate the print guide sign near the printer and scan the QR code. a. When printing remotely: open your browser, go to print.princh.com (Open in new window), and enter the 6-digit printer ID to select the printer.
- Upload your document(s).
- Adjust the settings.
- Enter your email address.
- Proceed to the Print Release Terminal to pay for and finalize your print job.
