City of Irvine is Serving up Eight New Pickleball Courts

The City of Irvine will celebrate the opening of eight lighted pickleball courts at Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, February 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. The event will include remarks from City leaders, followed by a ribbon-cutting and scheduled gameplay for the local pickleball community.

Lunar New Year Parade & Festival

Get ready to celebrate the Year of the Horse. The inaugural 2026 Lunar New Year Parade and Festival in the Great Park is set for Saturday, February 7. With the support from the City of Irvine, and coordinated by the Asian American Museum at Great Park, the celebration will kick off with a lively parade featuring local marching bands, schools, and community organizations, followed by a festival with exciting performances, fun games like Feed the Dragon and Mahjong Bingo, plus calligraphy and other arts and crafts activities.

Free Tax Preparation Services Available for Irvine Residents Beginning February 3

The City of Irvine, in partnership with Orange County United Way, is offering free tax preparation services to taxpayers who earned less than $69,000 in 2025.

Qualifying taxpayers who live, work, or attend school in Irvine can receive help filing their taxes from IRS-trained and certified volunteers, who will also assist eligible taxpayers in applying for tax credits, including the state and federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
