Comedy Unleashed: 3rd Annual Fundraiser for the Irvine Animal Care Center

Enjoy a night of dinner and laughs at Irvine Improv with comedians Gary Cannon, Patrick Keane and Taylor Tomlinson. Tickets are $35 and include dinner (venue service fees may apply to ticket purchase). Nearly half the proceeds benefit the Irvine Animal Care Center. Ages 18 and older.

Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Identified

Irvine, Calif. (June 4, 2018) – The driver who was killed after his vehicle ran into a traffic pole on Sunday has been identified. Ricardo Jesus Villasenor Santamaria, 39, was a Santa Ana resident.

On June 3 shortly before 5 a.m., Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) personnel responded to the scene of a traffic collision at Bake Parkway and Lake Forest Drive.

Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Collision

Irvine, Calif. (June 3, 2018) – The driver of a vehicle that ran into a traffic pole has died as a result of the crash. On June 3 shortly before 5 a.m., Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) personnel responded to the scene at Bake Parkway and Lake Forest Drive.

Upon their arrival, IPD officers found the vehicle engulfed in flames. OCFA personnel extinguished the fire and found the deceased individual. The person has not been identified at this time.

Mayor’s Business Lunch is June 20

Join Mayor Donald P. Wagner and the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce at the annual business lunch with the Mayor, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Hotel Irvine. The Mayor will speak about the business of business in Irvine. Topics will include the rapid development of the Orange County Great Park, transportation improvements, and the City Council’s support of Irvine’s public schools.

The Chamber will present the Business of the Year and other awards at its Celebrate Irvine event.

General admission is $55 for Chamber members, and $65 for visitors.

Sand Volleyball Leagues Now Offered at Orange County Great Park

The Orange County Great Park is now offering sand volleyball leagues led by instructor and professional competitor Matt Taylor. Grab your fellow volleyball-enthusiasts and join the Great Park for some under-the-lights competition weeknights this summer. King and Queen of the Court Doubles and Coed Shuffle 4’s arrive at the Great Park Sports Complex’s sand volleyball courts beginning June 19.

Irvine Police Department Reminds Drivers to ‘Click It or Ticket’

Irvine, Calif. (May 24, 2018) – As the unofficial start of summer, the Memorial Day holiday weekend is a busy time for Californians. Each year, the roadways fill with families in vehicles, on their way to start their summer vacations. To help keep drivers and passengers safe, the Irvine Police Department is reminding motorists to “Click It or Ticket.” The national seat belt campaign is taking place now through June 3, concurrent with the busy travel season.
