Irvine Police Department to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

Irvine, Calif. (May 24, 2018) –  The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted Saturday, May 26, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and Campus Drive.

Irvine Police Arrest Suspect Caught on Video Breaking into Irvine Home

Irvine, Calif. (May 23, 2018) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) has identified and arrested the suspect who was caught on video breaking into an Irvine home.

On September 18, 2017, a resident on the 800 block of Piccolo reported that her home had been broken into. Irvine Police Department detectives began an investigation at that time. Recently, detectives were able to obtain video from a neighbor that captures the suspect entering the home through a window. The suspect’s face is clearly seen on the video.
