Eating seasonal and local foods is nutritionally rich and environmentally friendly. The best chefs in Orange County present local, seasonal gourmet dishes, techniques and preservation methods. Due to expected inclement weather, the class will be moved indoors to the Artist Studios.

Balance Exhibition to Open at Great Park Gallery

The Great Park Gallery presents Balance, an exhibition that studies the evolving relationship between nature and humanity through installation art and sculptural work. The exhibition opens Dec. 3 and runs through Feb. 19. A free opening reception is set for Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1-3 p.m.

Explore science, technology, engineering, art, math and music in a fun and stimulating outdoor environment. Young attendees will connect the natural world with their daily lives, deepening their understanding and appreciation for nature.

Workshops begin at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., and are weather permitting.

Irvine Hosts 10th Annual Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair

The City of Irvine Animal Care Center will host its 10th annual Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 6443 Oak Canyon Road, Irvine.  More than 40 pet rescue groups and animal shelters will bring some 600 homeless dogs, cats, rabbits and small animals for adoption.
