The City of Irvine in partnership with South Coast Chinese Cultural Center will host a Mid-Autumn Festival at Great Park, Friday, September 9, from 5 to 9 p.m.  

This family-friendly festival includes education, entertainment, crafts, poetry reading, food trucks, and artistic demonstrations. Local community partners will be in attendance to support the event and share organizational information and resources. This event is free, open to all ages, and no registration is required.

FESTIVAL UPDATE: The City of Irvine is making plans to move the Mid-Autumn Festival indoors at Great Park. So even if the skies are cloudy and the rain comes down, we will still honor the moon Friday, September 9. Join us from 5 to 9 p.m. for performances inside Hangar 244 and activities in the Great Park Gallery and Artists Studios.

Framework Plans Approved for Next Phase of Great Park Development

At its July 26 meeting, the Great Park Board took an important step toward securing Great Park’s place as a world-class, metropolitan park when it approved a framework that organizes City Council-identified priority projects as part of the next phase of Great Park’s development.

The framework vision incorporates plans which connect our community through various outdoor activities, attractions, and entertainment options.

The City of Irvine encourages the senior community to take control of their health and wellness by attending the 13th annual Senior Fitness Expo Friday, August 26, 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. This free event, geared toward adults 50 and older, features health screenings, educational presentations, and a wide variety of the latest health and fitness exhibitors.
