On June 9, 2020 the Irvine City Council passed and adopted resolution No. 20-47 affirming that the City of Irvine will not and does not tolerate the violent treatment of other and the disregard of the sanctity of human life.
Together, the City of Irvine, its residents, and business community have been taking the necessary means and measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. Staying at home, practicing social distancing, and wearing a facial covering whenever in public have been among some of the preventative measures taken by our community.
Enjoy movies and concerts in the park – with a twist – during the Irvine Summer Drive-In Series. This series of modified events brings the community together while safely following social distance guidelines. The Summer Drive-In Series features movies on the big screen and live concerts at the Orange County Great Park in drive-in format every Saturday this August. Park your cars, bring a picnic basket, or plan to purchase treats from gourmet food trucks.

The City of Irvine, in keeping with evolving state and county guidance, will modify or re-open many recreation services and programs. Following recently released guidance from the California Department of Public Health, the City has scheduled modified summer camps, will open aquatic centers for limited programs, and will open museum and gallery spaces at the Orange County Great Park.
