City Council votes 3-1 at May 14 Meeting to Fill Council Vacancy
Tonight at the Irvine City Council Meeting, Mike Carroll was appointed by the City Council to fill the current Councilmember vacancy. Candidate interviews were conducted earlier this afternoon by the City Council at its special meeting, and later at its regular meeting, a 3-1 vote was reached to appoint Mr. Carroll to the City Council.

A man who was caught taking pictures underneath a woman’s skirt has been arrested following an investigation by Irvine Police Department Detectives. Nathan Martin Haley, 45, of Portola Hills turned himself in to police last month.

Super Soccer Stars is offering a free clinic to players ages 1–7 years old during Family Game Days at the Great Park on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 9. Kids can learn the basics of soccer or refresh their skills, along with meeting our talented coaches. The clinic is free but space is limited, so register early to save your spot.

Energetic volunteers are needed for the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, June 22, at the Lakeview Senior Center in Irvine.
The Marines wash approximately 150 vehicles each year, and volunteers are needed to hold signs on the street attracting customers and visitors to the fundraiser. Funds raised directly benefit the 2/11 Marines.
Time slots are available from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; volunteers are welcome to sign up for more than one time slot.
