Irvine, Calif. (May 31, 2018) – The Irvine Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who are illegally obtaining cough medicine from Costco stores.
Join Mayor Donald P. Wagner and the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce at the annual business lunch with the Mayor, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Hotel Irvine. The Mayor will speak about the business of business in Irvine. Topics will include the rapid development of the Orange County Great Park, transportation improvements, and the City Council’s support of Irvine’s public schools.
The Chamber will present the Business of the Year and other awards at its Celebrate Irvine event.
General admission is $55 for Chamber members, and $65 for visitors.
The Orange County Great Park is now offering sand volleyball leagues led by instructor and professional competitor Matt Taylor. Grab your fellow volleyball-enthusiasts and join the Great Park for some under-the-lights competition weeknights this summer. King and Queen of the Court Doubles and Coed Shuffle 4’s arrive at the Great Park Sports Complex’s sand volleyball courts beginning June 19.

(May 24, 2018) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted Saturday, May 26, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and Campus Drive.

On September 18, 2017, a resident on the 800 block of Piccolo reported that her home had been broken into. Irvine Police Department detectives began an investigation at that time. Recently, detectives were able to obtain video from a neighbor that captures the suspect entering the home through a window. The suspect’s face is clearly seen on the video.
