The City of Irvine Holds its First District-Based Election in November

Ballots for the November 5 General Municipal Election have been mailed to all registered voters. This is the City of Irvine’s first district-based election, and Irvine voters will notice some changes on their ballots with this transition.

In March, nearly 60% of Irvine voters approved Measure D, also known as the Council Expansion and Districting charter amendment. The measure expands the City Council from five to seven members and shifts elections from at-large to district-based.
