IRVINE, Calif. (March 27, 2024) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) arrested four adults for a distraction theft.

At its March 26 meeting, the Great Park Board and City Council voted to approve the lease agreements for Pretend City Children’s Museum and Orange County Music & Dance. These agreements will pave the way for the development of the Cultural Terrace at the Great Park into one of Southern California’s most dynamic cultural, historical, educational, and arts centers. 

In an effort to provide more charging options to the community, the City of Irvine, in partnership with Eneridge, has installed four DC fast charging stations for electric vehicles at Trabuco Center.

“As a City, we are committed to working with the community to reduce vehicle emissions and make switching to EVs affordable and accessible to all,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “These additional EV chargers are an important part of those efforts, making it easier for residents to power up quickly closer to home.”

Animal lovers, runners, and walkers are invited to participate in the 2024 Irvine Animal Care Center Virtual 5K. Throughout the month of April, participants can make a difference in the lives of animals in need by finishing the Virtual 5K — completed at a self-timed pace and at any location. Registration opens March 26.

Irvine, Calif. (March 21, 2024) – Two men are in custody after they attempted to drive a stolen vehicle into Mexico.

The City of Irvine is excited to launch Irvine CONNECT, a new, free shuttle service for community members and visitors. Beginning April 1, 2024, the Irvine CONNECT will travel between the northern end of Irvine to Irvine Station, with stops at parks, schools, hospitals, and shopping centers.
