Celebrate community, connection, and clean air through its first-ever car-free open streets event, CicloIrvine, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

Residents, visitors, and businesses are invited to stroll, bike, and roll along nearly 2 miles of streets closed to cars along Barranca Parkway and Harvard Avenue.

Join us Saturday, March 23, 1–3 p.m., at Great Park Hangar 244 for a fun, family-friendly workshop inspired by the captivating exhibition, “Natural Language: Contemporary Book Art,” at the Great Park Gallery.

“How to Booklet: Sharing Your Knowledge” allows you to discover the joy of bookmaking and create a unique piece of art to express yourself — a perfect activity for all ages! 

City of Irvine Releases General Plan Update for the Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR)

As part of the City of Irvine General Plan Update, the Notice of Availability for the Draft Program Environmental Impact Report and the associated General Plan Elements are now available. The Draft PEIR is open for public review and comment for 45 days beginning March 15, 2024, and concluding at 5 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024.

Bring folding chairs and blankets for seating around the Gallery and Palm Court; no advance registration is needed for these free events.

Northwood Aquatics Center Closure

Northwood Aquatics Center is currently closed for renovation. Work began on February 26, 2024, and the project has an estimated completion date of winter 2025. All work will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. The project includes replacing the pool deck, plaster, and tile, as well as ADA upgrades to locker rooms, restrooms, and the parking lot.

All City aquatics activities normally taking place at Northwood Aquatics Center will be temporarily moved to William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center during the closure. For more information, please call 949-724-6717.

Celebrate Spring with a Splash at Egg-a-POOL-Looza March 23 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center

The City of Irvine invites you to celebrate the spring season with a splash at Egg-a-POOL-Looza Saturday, March 23, 1–5 p.m., at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.

Children and families can enjoy splash time, egg hunt stations, face painting, spring crafts and games, an opportunity to take photos with a special guest bunny, and bounce houses ready for hopping-good fun. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase.
