There are 15 Vote Centers in Irvine for the City’s Special Municipal Election and the 2024 Presidential Primary Election on March 5.

Three Vote Centers are open February 24–March 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Irvine City Hall, which also has a drive-thru ballot drop-off option.
  • Los Olivos Community Center.
  • Portola Springs Community Center.

Twelve additional Vote Centers will be open March 2–March 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All Vote Centers will be open on Election Day, March 5, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Great Park Construction Notice for March 2024

The City of Irvine is starting work on the next phase of demolition in the Northern Sector at the Great Park, which includes areas identified in the Great Park Framework Plan as the Great Meadow and North and South Lakes. This project will include the removal and lawful disposal of existing utilities within the project limits including, but not limited to, water, sewer, storm drain, electrical, and communications facilities. Work will include clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfill, stockpiling of concrete pipe, and the removal and lawful disposal of spoils if required.

Irvine Animal Care Center Annual Foster Donation Drive Begins March 1

The Irvine Animal Care Center invites the community to support the annual Foster Donation Drive, March 1–31. Support the center’s new puppies and kittens, post-surgery animals, and animals healing from an injury by donating supplies such as Breeder’s Edge formula, Mother & Babycat food, and Miracle Nipple syringes.

Egg-A-Pool-Looza

Throw on your swimsuits and join us by the pool to celebrate spring. Activities include poolside egg hunt, family splash time, Easter bunny photos, bounce houses, and more. Treats will be available for purchase. Lifeguards will be on duty. An adult must accompany children 6 and younger one-on-one if they are in the water.

Voting Options for the Upcoming Special Municipal Election

On March 5, Irvine voters will have the opportunity to decide whether to expand the City Council from five to seven members and transition to district elections.

Measure D, also known as the Council Expansion and Districting charter amendment, will appear on the 2024 Presidential Primary Election ballot as part of the City’s Special Municipal Election as follows:
