The Irvine Animal Care Center is inviting all runners, walkers, and animal-lovers to take part in its 2021 Virtual 5K throughout the month of April to support animals in need. The center’s Virtual 5K can be completed at any location you choose April 1–30, can be done at your own pace, and is timed yourself. In addition to supporting animals, participants can honor the City of Irvine's 50th anniversary while running or walking their 5K.

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect who assaulted an elderly male.

Mayor Farrah N. Khan’s unwavering pledge to vaccinate all Irvine residents continued Monday, March 22, with another COVID-19 vaccine clinic held through an ongoing partnership with Hoag. Higher risk Irvine residents aged 60 and over received COVID-19 vaccines at Lakeview Senior Center.

The City of Irvine is accepting applications to fill two member-at-large and two student vacancies on its Green Ribbon Environmental Committee. The Committee advises the City Council and makes recommendations on matters related to energy, recycling and waste management, mobility, open space, and water issues.

The Great Park's interactive map features 360-degree photos and allows visitors to search for the park's many available amenities including walking pathways, sports facilities, restrooms, playgrounds, and shade areas. Find your way to a specific soccer field, track down the nearest restroom, or learn where the closest concession stand is to buy some snacks before continuing to enjoy your day at the park.
