City of Irvine Facility Reservations for 2027 to Open in August

The City of Irvine will open calendar year 2027 reservation requests for its facilities to the public in August. Applications will be accepted beginning August 3 for Irvine residents; August 10 for Irvine-based nonprofit groups; and August 17 for all other groups, including nonresidents and commercial or for-profit businesses.

On Tuesday, July 11, the City of Irvine held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the addition of 166 Level 2 EV chargers at the Great Park. As a steward of the Great Park, the City of Irvine is committed to sustainable operations and management across the 1,300-acre park and becoming a leader in environmental, social, and economic responsibility.

Irvine Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

Irvine, Calif. (July 7, 2023) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) arrested a 26-year-old suspect for a residential burglary that occurred on Tuesday evening.

On July 5, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., IPD officers responded to a residential burglary on Iluna in the Altair community. At 7:30 p.m. on July 4, the victim locked his home and left. He returned at midnight and noticed the rear sliding door was open and he was missing cash and jewelry.
