The City of Irvine Administrative Services Department will host its annual GIS Day November 16, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Irvine Civic Center in the CTC.

GIS Day provides a forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. Join the City’s various departments for presentations, application demonstrations, and more. Test your Irvine knowledge for a chance to win a prize.

This free event is open to the public, and no RSVP is required.

Kick off the season with the lighting of the Civic Center holiday tree, and join us for an evening of holiday cheer. The event will include visits with Santa Claus, live holiday music, and a winter-themed train route. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift suitable for infants or children up to age 12. The City of Irvine Animal Care Center will host its 16th annual Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair Sunday, December 11, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Pet rescue groups and animal shelters will bring hundreds of homeless dogs, cats, rabbits, and small animals for adoption.
