Irvine Police to Host School Safety Town Hall Presentation

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will host a school safety town hall presentation on Thursday, June 9, at 6 p.m., at the City of Irvine Council Chamber.

In light of recent horrific events involving gun violence in our region and across our Nation, IPD will share with our community the steps we have taken to prevent and respond to threats to our schools.

The annual All Media exhibition showcases artwork from Southern California artists. The juried exhibition features painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramics, video, installation and more.

This year’s exhibition is juried by Joseph Daniel Valencia, associate curator at Vincent Price Museum. Valencia has previously worked at the City of Irvine, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the ONE Archives at the USC Libraries, and the UCR ARTSblock. 

Vote Centers in Irvine for Primary Election

Ten City of Irvine facilities and five community facilities will serve as Voting Centers for the upcoming Statewide Direct Primary Election on June 7.  

In addition to in-person voting, all registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot in mid-May. In lieu of voting in person, voters can drop off their completed ballots at:

Irvine Fine Arts Center 28th Annual Studio Arts Festival is June 4

Expand your art collection and enjoy a day in the park at the 28th annual Studio Arts Festival. The event will be held Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Heritage Community Park adjacent to the Irvine Fine Arts Center. This year’s festival is fully outdoors.
